Hoping to start a thread where newbies like myself can become familiar with slang that is used amongst the otaku community. This will also hopefully help future members become familiar with terms and phrases used by prominent users of the forum, this will also hopefully nullify and thread started by n00bs that go along the lines of 'what does ... mean?'

Please post the term or phrase along with its corresponding meaning. For example;

Lolicon (loli) - describes an attraction to young girls, or an individual with such an attraction. Outside Japan, the term is less common and most often refers to a genre of manga and anime wherein underage or childlike female characters are depicted in an erotic manner. (adapted from wikipedia.com)

also give credit to where it is due Razz

thanx in advance, adam
